A Day in the Life of Us

I don't know where the time goes. They keep me busy. Today, Drew decided to climb onto a chair, then a little table to get on our window seat in the kitchen. He is my climber and will climb up anything and everything.

He LOVES Spaghetti-O's! Can you tell?

Jake made this card for his assistant teacher Mrs. Benoit. Her birthday was today. He is such a sweetheart! Always thinking of others.

Abigail drew this portrait of me today. You are probably wondering why I took a picture of it but this is the first time she actually drew a "stick figure". One day they are scribbling and literally the next day they are drawing people. Amazes me!

A Sure Sign of Fall

I know it is Fall when we make our first trip to Tallahassee to enjoy Florida State football. Every year we make the family trip with Grandma and Grandpa to FSU home games. It is an experience like no other and I am so glad my children love it as much as me. Well, maybe as much as me. The dipping dots in the FSU helmets are also a big hit at the game! I love this place! Go Noles!!!!!!!

Andrew's First Steps

Andrew took his first steps today! Grandma and Grandpa Hetzler were over watching the Florida State football game with us when Andrew decided to get up and walk across the family room. I guess he figured he had a captive audience. He was so cute walking from person to person around the room. He was very proud of himself.

Jake is Six

I can't believe Jake is six years old today. It seems like yesterday when Dean drove down I-575 going 115 mph to the hospital. Squeezing the life from my mom's hand in the backseat of the car, I didn't think I was going to make it. I did and a beautiful baby boy came into our life that day. He is such a sweet, smart and caring boy. He is always worried about everyone else but is also the life of the party.

He had a great day today. He wore the birthday crown at school all day, even home on the school bus. He wanted to go out to dinner so we let him choose where he wanted to go. He chose Lin's, a chinese restaurant. After eating lettuce wraps, sesame shrimp and chicken and fried rice we sang happy birthday and shared fried ice cream. It was like a funnel cake with ice cream. We opened our fortune cookies and Jake had the best one. Here is a picture of it!

At Grandma and Grandpa's he opened a few presents and then we sang happy birthday again and had a cookie cake for him. It was a great day!!

Happy Birthday Jake! Thanks for bringing sunshine into our lives everyday!
